If Valencia are to maintain their unexpected bid to be crowned champions, then Saturday's match against Eibar is the kind of game they must win on what is set to be a freezing evening in the Basque Country.
Los Che suffered their first defeat of the season in their previous away game at Getafe two weeks ago, although last weekend saw them bounce back with a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Celta Vigo.
Eibar, meanwhile, have responded to a poor start by going on a strong four-match unbeaten run, with three wins and a draw over the last four weeks, including a 5-0 thrashing of Real Betis.
Valencia's 1-0 defeat at Getafe at the start of the month was only the second time this season they have failed to find the back of the net and Marcelino Garcia's side are the division's second-top scorers with 35 strikes in 15 games.
Even with that blank, Valencia remain the second-top scorers on the road as well, although away from Mestalla they have been far from solid defensively.
Indeed, they have only kept one clean sheet in the seven matches they have contested on the road and while they sit second in the La Liga table, seven teams have better defensive records away from home than Los Che.
Eibar, for their part, have found their scoring form in recent weeks netting ten goals in their last three home matches, and they can contribute to another high scoring game on Saturday evening.
Over 2.5 goals is offered at 10/11 (1.91) and this bet has paid out in four of Eibar's last five home league games, while also proving the correct selection in four of Valencia's seven matches on the road this term.
