Liverpool youngster Rafa Camacho could be on his way back to Sporting Lisbon after the Portuguese club reportedly made an approach to sign him on loan in January.
Camacho, 18, has made excellent progress since being promoted to train at Melwood on a permanent basis and impressed during the Reds’ pre-season tour of America.
He has also played a huge role in the club’s UEFA Youth League campaign.
And according to the Liverpool Echo, Sporting have enquired about securing the services of the Portugal Under-20s international, who has also been linked with a move to a number of Championship clubs.
Camacho has been an unused sub for Liverpool’s first-team three times.
The versatile player joined the Reds’ Academy in 2016 having gone through a successful trial after being released by Manchester City.
