That’s according to Los Angeles Times reporter Tania Ganguli, who claims the Lakers are yet to include Ingram in trade conversations.
News broke yesterday that the Spurs are now fielding offers for Leonard after the player made it clear that he wants to leave this summer.
There are two teams who are seemingly the frontrunners to put together a deal which San Antonio would supposedly be interested in - the Boston Celtics and the Lakers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and LA Clippers are also said to have contacted San Antonio regarding a deal.
Boston’s deep cache of assets could prove more enticing for San Antonio but that could depend on whether Danny Ainge is prepared to part with the necessary players or draft picks.
The Lakers also have a number of assets they could use in a potential deal for Leonard and are reportedly keen to build a NBA superteam which could include LeBron James and Paul George alongside the Spurs star.
Players such as Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and Ingram have been spoken about as target for San Antonio.
Ganguli reports the Lakers are yet to offer the latter but goes on to suggest they likely will do so if need be.
“A small update on where things stand with the Lakers and trade talks,” Ganguli tweeted.
“A league source tells me that so far the Lakers haven't offered Brandon Ingram in any deals.
“There's also a difference between being willing to include him and actually making an offer that includes him.
“When push comes to shove, would they trade Ingram if that's what it took to get Leonard? I believe so.”
