At least 27 children have died after a school bus plunged into a gorge in the Himalayan foothills in India.
The accident happened in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, around 200 miles from its capital city of Shimla.
Police officer Sunil Kumar said the vehicle, which was carrying more than 30 children, swerved off a mountain road, with initial reports indicating that the driver - who has also died - was speeding and lost control.
It dropped around 200 feet to the ground below, with two teachers reported to be among the dead.
Mr Kumar has said the rescue operation will continue into the night.
